Everyone has something to be thankful for. Here are a few things on my list.
I am thankful for:
Being alive and capable of taking care of myself;
Having the ability and desire to write;
My family – who provide never-ending writing material;
Book sales, no matter what they are;
This world and the cornucopia of writing fodder it has to offer;
Everyone on Twitter who shares what I share with them;
Having my kitty cat, Clairee, to keep me humble, strong, keeping things in perspective, and keeping me in my place;
All the pets I have ever had for the unconditional love they have given;
The protest in Atlanta last evening being, for the most part, a peaceful demonstration with no injuries;
Having a place to live, food to eat and clothes to wear;
Those ancestors who boarded the Mayflower as well as those already here when they arrived;
My Cherokee heritage;
Being an American.
And, most of all, I am thankful for the friends I have in my life, the support and acceptance they give, and the understanding they have.
Don’t forget to make your own thankful list. It may be longer than you think.
Happy Thanksgiving.
